Support
Real questions get real answers.
Fileroom is a small operation. The fastest path to a fix is support@fileroom.app. We read every message — usually same-day, never more than two business days.
Before you write
Include the device + OS version, the app version (Settings → About), and — if it's a bug — the steps that reproduce it. A screenshot beats a description; a screen recording beats a screenshot.
Frequently asked
- Where do my files go?
- Nowhere we control. Every conversion runs on your device. The app doesn't upload your files to a server. See the privacy policy for the long version.
- How do I cancel my subscription?
- Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google. On iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Fileroom. On Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Fileroom. You can also tap Settings → Manage subscription in the app to jump straight there.
- How do refunds work?
- Refunds are issued by Apple or Google, not by us — we don't handle billing. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google: open your order in the Play Store and tap Request a refund. Write to us at support@fileroom.app if you need help wording the request or the store rejects it on a technicality.
- Why didn't my conversion finish?
- Common reasons: the source file was unreadable (corrupt, password- protected without the password, or an unsupported variant of the format), or the device ran out of memory mid-conversion (very large videos on older hardware). Try a smaller file or a different output format. If it keeps happening, email support@fileroom.app with the file type and the on-screen error.
- Is there a format Fileroom doesn't support?
- We add formats as we hear they're needed. If a pair you want is missing, write to support@fileroom.appand we'll see if it fits. Office formats (DOCX / XLSX / PPTX) are explicitly out of scope for the current version.
- Can I use Fileroom on my Mac?
- Not natively yet — the iOS build runs on Apple Silicon Macs via the “iOS apps on Mac” pathway, but the UI is sized for iPad. A proper macOS build is on the roadmap.
- I'm getting “daily limit reached” on the free tier.
- The free tier is 10 conversions per local day. It resets at midnight in your timezone. Pro lifts the cap. The first conversion of the next day will work even if the counter looks stuck — re-open the app to re-poll.
- How do I report a bug?
- Email support@fileroom.app with steps to reproduce, the device + OS version, and a screenshot if relevant. If the app crashed and you have analytics enabled, we may already have the trace.
